"The true worth of a man is not to be found in man himself, but in the colours and textures that come alive in others" ~ Albert Schweitzer
That's what I thought so too that a father is a man that treats a woman rightly, makes her a loving mother and gives his child a happy family. Being a father is about a chance given to a man and for this Father's day weekend, i think this song is what all fathers have sung in their hearts once upon a time. Happy Father's Day to all fatherly men out there.
Note:I shared that piece of thought on FB in June. Having believe that I am supposed to be a psychologist at heart, it is impossible to put aside the importance of a father figure in a family although a mother is naturally being thrown upon with responsibility to raise a child, these days, no matter how much women wrestle their ways for equal rights and opportunities.
We could see the breakdown of our society today has been largely attributed to the lack of fatherly role model. We see men taking bribes before coming back home and feed their family with the said proceeds. We see men taking time off from his home so he could climb up the corporate ladder faster to material stardom. We see more men ditching their responsibilities towards their loved ones and it is so sad to see such impacts run down their own generations. Such a vicious cycle that we all should put an immediate stop to.
To all the fathers and those fatherly men out there, please read this article on the "Importance of the Father".
