Wintry Death of Justice

"If tears could build a stairway
And memories a lane
I'd walk right up to Heaven
And bring you home again
~ Author Unknown

January kicked off with an open verdict for Adik Teoh Beng Hock's inquest and it ended last Friday with the cop acquitted from causing grevious harm to Adik Kugan. Both died in the hands of people entrusted to uphold justice and order.

Their untimely demise is just a pin hole to reality out there. Many have suffered and succumbed to brutality of the so called 'justice enforcers', leaving fresh wounds on their loved ones, who will be forever asking how could this happened to them.

Their faces, in death, are the 'posterboys' of brutality.

Their stories, during their short life, are the stories of many unfinished businesses, unrealised dreams for better life with their loved ones.

Their families are the mirrors to our ownselves.

But how many of us are able to fathom significance of these tragedies?

To many Malaysian parents, upon being asked by their children, prompted by reading our misleading MSM, would simplify and justify their deaths like this "they are bad people".

But children are born innocent. They would ask their parents, "if they are bad people, how come so many people cried for them?"

"They are family".

"How come the chinese, indians and malays are crying too? Are they his family too?"

I pinning for better future to my 3 nephews and I know I need all the support from all of you out there to let the sun shines its lifegiving rays so that justice and humanity will emerge from the dark soils of our own ignorance and inactions.

Without justice and humanity, there will never be a civilisation.

Rest in peace, my brothers, for your deaths will fuel our fight for better Malaysia.

p.s. And I have The Band Perry's "If I Die Young" resonating in my heart...

Fi-sha

It's sad to see this happening again and again.

People seems to have been hardened in their hearts and lost the essence of what it means to be human.

The weather's cold these few days. You take care ya.
