The Splendour of Moon

I never realised how bright a full moon could be till lately...

By 9 pm, for the last 5 days, I've abandoned the flourescent light for tea candles at specific spots in a room I called home for the past 6 months. Then, i saw it - the beautiful, lonely full moon gazing into my 28-th storey window... Its glow lit up my room and yes, my soul...

I texted my friend asking him if he, too, could see this magically Being from his window in KL and if he did, we were looking at the same Full Moon. Of course, he did. I guess as bright as I could see here from my window. Let's make a wish and hope it will come true he said... I did and not only one, many of them..(how greedy).

In fact, I was talking to this Being up there...(the Moon) and it does feel good because (i) i know someone out there is looking at it too and i do hope it makes him feel better (through this difficult Market Meltdown) and (ii) God is Kind and being in presence of His wonderful creations calm my soul...

This particular Full Moon out my window somehow reminds me of lost love... It's always there (though it moves from one place to another) yet you would see it only now and then (if you look for it) and if you are lucky enough to feel his presence... Sadly, you can't make it stay. Still, you love it and you better believe it that your lost love still have that same feeling for you too...

Here's the perfect combination of this bright full moon and the lost love by my favourite Rumi...

The sky was lit by the splendor of the moon,

So powerful I fell to the ground,

Your love has made me sure I am ready to forsake this worldly life,

And surrender to the magnificence of your Being

Petanda / Alamat / Signs

I believe in signs...

After reading an article "Jalan Duta Court is SMELLY" on Malaysiatoday, I realised the court itself had given sign in the form of leak pipes in the court's ceiling resulting in a flood and the court was barely a month-old in operation in May last year. With Royal Commission Inquiry on VK Lingam tape in progress, guess there will be more 'hot' stories about "The SMELLY Jalan Duta Guys" dan kuncu-kuncunya!

Remember about the same problem with our Parliament House and Immigration Ministry in Putrajaya, happened around the same time too last year? So, wait and see...

Wait...could it be a serial 'leaker'? Leaking the pipes at these places for cover-up jobs or maybe to destroy something? Interesting...

Both ways...it's the sign and it's a bad one... Old people say how we maintain our house reflects how we manage our household and how we take care of our family...

Remembering Christopher Fernando

To me , he personified one Great Lawyer - Quick Witted, Articulate - a rarity in Malaysia...

I saw him and said "All the best!" before DSAI's defence team went into the court room back in August 1997. I caught a few glimpses of him and Mssr Zainur Zakaria in between the session. They made my day though after queueing since 6.30 am, I only managed to get in the court room for the afternoon session.

Christopher Fernando (Aris Rizal Fernando Abdullah) passed away in IJN last midnight. That news brought tears to my eyes. My deepest condolence to his beloved family for the loss. Semoga rohnya dicucuri rahmat dan ditempatkan di kalangan orang-orang beriman. Al-fatihah...

O Hero! My Hero!
You will be missed...
O Hero! My Hero!
Rest in Peace...

A New Beginning...

I read my first blog - that was Jeff Ooi's ScreenShot - three years ago. Yes, i'm self-confessed late-bloomer in almost everything except my career and house chores hehehhehe...

And today, I got my own blog! Wow! Congrats to me!

Not that I strive to be famous like Jeff Ooi and Rocky Bru (my daily doses of sanity) or write down nitty gritty bits of my oh-so ordinary life activities (i never own a diary). Reading blogs - political and apolitical - comforts my soul. There are people out there who share the same ideas, opinions and feelings like mine (suprise, suprise because I think I'm too critical or too empathic). Indeed, we are never alone unless we let us ourselves to be left alone.

A few years back, I used to write to newspapers columns to air my views -but sometimes, it took too long to be featured because the topics were not that hot like I complained on inhumane treatment by PERHILITAN to one man who took care for a tiger (who lost his habitat in the name of development), on why security guards should not be paid pittance for their dangerous job in delivering cash to our Bankers, ATM, supermarkets etc. Then, I dared myself to write to Malaysiakini (because I stopped supporting mainstream newspapers) on inter-racial marriages (hey, i made it - twice).

With a blog, I could share ( a.k.a complain heheheh) my view at the speed of my typing, subject to availability to connect to the World Wide Web and I can see that what bloggers shared with others can result in chain of positive actions. Isn't that great! Yes, bloggers make a lot of difference in today's world and I, too, want to be part of this special community.

And I wish one day I could be like Encik Awang Goneng, who penned a beautiful book for his children. I cried reading his blog on how his book has brought together many friends and teachers and not forgetting newfound friends. His book and his blog makes Terengganu seems a must-see holiday destination for many foreigners. Coincidently, 2008 is Visit Terengganu Year! Perhaps, GuiT could be one of must-have souvenirs from Terengganu and Malaysia. Tahniah Encik Awang Goneng!

Allow me to start my new beginning with this song - No Man Is An Island (Joan Baez)

No man is an island, No man stands alone,

Each man's joy is joy to me, Each man's grief is my own...

We need one another, So I will defend,

Each man as my brother,Each man as my friend...

I saw the people gather, I heard the music start,

The song that they were singing, Is ringing in my heart...

No man is an island, Way out in the blue,

We all look to the one above, For our strength to renew...

When I help my brother, Then I know that I,

Plant the seed of friendship, That will never die...
